Mia out and about (David Guralnick / The Detroit News) |
Mia the dog who survived euthanasia a month ago has been give a new lease on life and is up and about thanks to the help of people from all over the world and a local veterinarian providing the treatments. Mia will be moving in with a new family in the next few weeks and will be able to spend the rest of her life in a loving environment with other dogs and a family that cares about her.
What great news for such a tragic set of circumstances! Go Mia!
Im glad she is going to a family that can afford to take care of her. I couldn't imagine what I would do If one of my pets was in that much pain and I was really struggling financially. Although when one of my cats had a TERRIBLE reaction to a flea treatment i had to take him to the 24 hour emergency vet and told them I didn't care how much – just save him. Luckily it was only about $350 and he was only in overnight (I could have saved money and taken him home in the wee hours but I felt better having professionals watch him.)
Shocked and stunned when I heard this story. What a miracle that she is Ok and will have a new family to live with. Nothing worse than having to make that decision and to find the animal alive. So glad for the help that has reached out for this girl. Hope the oringial family are doing Ok with the ordeal they have been through with Mia. Always good to hear a happy ending out of such a tragedy.
Love this story, so glad to hear this she'll get to live out her life in the country!
Yay Mia! It's good to read of a sad story spinning into a positive one!
