Pets-idential Election Enter Your Dog to become the Canine in Chief!
National pet services company Best Friends Pet Care is searching for candidates qualified to lead the pack in 2013!
The company will award the title of Canine in Chief to the top vote-getter in its Pets-idential Election Contest, which runs throughout the month of October. The winner also will receive a year’s worth of boarding or doggy day camp at any Best Friends Pet Care (www.bestfriendspetcare.com) nationwide.
Four runner-up candidates will earn the key Canine Cabinet posts of Vice Canine in Chief, Secretary of Play Time, Treasurer of Treats and Director of Pet Pampering for the 2013 year.
“Election season makes us think about the qualities of leadership,” said Renee Coughlin, Vice President of Marketing for Best Friends Pet Care. “Loyalty, trust, concern for the pack – since these are the traits of our canine companions, we decided it was high time to elect a Top Dog and Cabinet.”
To join the race, each candidate must upload a patriotic photo and his or her campaign promise — such as “A Couch for Every Canine” or “A Treat in Every Mouth” — to the Best Friends Pet Care Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Bestfriendspetcareinc). All balloting will be conducted through the page and the winners will be selected by popular vote.”
“Dogs are such an upbeat group, we expect a positive race,” Coughlin added. “No dirty tricks or mud-slinging will be permitted, although dirty and muddy dogs are welcome to run.”
The public is invited to vote for the candidates of their choice through October 31, 2012. Election results will be announced on November 1, 2012 and the winning candidates will begin their terms of office January 1, 2013.
Last year around this time Davinia and Indiana got to visit Best Friends Pet Care at Disney Facility. They had the best time there. They got their own private room where they got to watch Disney movies all day from comfy dog beds. they had a staff that waited on them hand and paw 24/7. They even got to have story time before they went to sleep where one of the nice staff people went into their private room (lets face it their rooms look nothing like a typical kennel). We have never had a problem boarding anywhere so I wasn’t worried that they would be upset or wouldn’t eat (it was only for a night anyway) or get upset with each other. What I should have been was worried about them not wanting to come home. Check out the post if you would like to read more about our experience. Of course the Disney location is their flagship location their no holds barred dogs version of going to the Disney theme parks so of course they had an amazing overnight stay there. But what about a regular Best Friends Pet Care Facility? Several months ago we got to go on a visit to Best Friends Pet Care at one of the facilities here in Georgia for their party day.We got to spend a few hours touring the facility, playing in the indoor and outdoor yards, and basically taking over the place. They were hand fed Ice cream by the staff! So yes we think a year’s worth of Boarding or Doggy Day Care from Best Friends would be an amazing contest to enter!
