Here’s to a Year of Positivity – Creating Your DIY Year of Positivity Jar
I always believe that clearing your mind the first step to a healthy and happy you. With the New Year here and ready to take us by storm I think we all need small reminders of the positive things for when life becomes stressful and things don’t happen the way we would like.
Creating your DIY Year of Positivity Jar
1. Take a jar (mason jar, plastic container file card holder doesn’t matter what you use but it should be something with a lid) the idea is to keep positive thoughts around for when you need them. This way you have a secret stash of happiness and positive thought around for you when you need it.
2. Print out the sheet of 3×3 cards and start writing. Use the ideas above for inspiration!
3. Write as much as you can.
Favorite quotes.
Favorite days in the year.
Favorite recipes.
Favorite words in a song.
Things you have accomplished.
Maybe you print out some favorite pictures of your dog.
What you are happy about in your life.
Write down anything that will help you achieve a year of positivity.
4. After each one fold it into that jar.
5. When you are having a bad day pull one out of the jar and read it out loud.
6. Make it your Facebook Status Update. When a friend asks about it say it is from your Year of Positivity Jar because positivity breeds positivity.
7. Tape it to your bathroom mirror or hang it on your fridge. Keep it somewhere that you can see it and be reminded of it.
8. Whenever you see it read it, and reflect on the positive.
9. When you need something positive in your life reach for the next note in your Year of Positivity Jar and repeat the process taking down the old thought and replacing it with this new one. You can put the old thought back in the jar for later in the year or throw it away if it is not longer “speaking” to you.
Positivity breads positivity, I truly believe that.
What is one quote or thought that always makes you feel better when you see it or hear it?
Leave the idea in the comments so that others can use it to add to their positivity jar!

Mixed martial arts is a fantastic combination of several
martial arts techniques where the body is the sole weapon.
You MUST be prepared to fight by ANY and ALL
means necessary, including eye gouges, throat strikes,
groin kicks, and even biting. However, bullies only prey on children
who lack confidence.
