Dog Left in Car at Six Flags Amusement Park Saved and Then Lost

A woman is upset That Six Flags Amusement Park in California broke into her car to get her dog out. The dog was left in the car with the windows cracked open and food and water however it was 80 degrees and the owner was inside enjoying the rides while her Pomeranian a supposed service dog (which would have been allowed to join her in the park) was suffering from the heat. Park officials broke the window of her car and took the dog out following its set procedures for when this occurs because apparently this is a common occurrence at their park. They left a note for the owner and made an announcement over the PA system to let the owner know the dog was now in the kennel area.

Here is the parks policy which is posted on their website about their pets being left in cars policy:

Is there a place where I can leave my pets?

Pets are not permitted in the park, with the exception of service animals. Six Flags Magic Mountain does provide kennel services. Please ask a parking attendant for the location outside of the park. For the health and safety of your pet, do not leave it in your car for any length of time while visiting the park. Six Flags Magic Mountain will call Animal Services to rescue your pet at your expense, which may also result in prosecution.

Park staff had to cool off Mailbu the Pomeranian as she was not doing very well when they found her. When she started looking better and still no owner coming to claim her they placed her inside one of their FREE kennels. It seems that the little dog finished her water and the staff was refilling the bowl when she jumped out of her crate and ran out the door and into the parking lot where she just kept running.

Instead of taking responsibility for her actions by leaving the dog in the hot car she blames the amusement park for loosing her dog (which has now been reunited with her) after saving it from a horrible death. Who knows how long the dog was in the car or how much longer the dog would be in the car. Obviously she didn’t care enough when the announcement was made that her dog was found sick in her car and was now in the care of the park staff to come and at least check on her and make sure the Pomeranian was doing ok and thank the staff for caring enough to do something.

Feel free to watch the video of how she blames everyone but herself. Was she really going to take her dog in is bag on a Roller Coaster or was she going to pawn it off on park staff so she could ride the thrill rides. I guess a dog would be ok on a carousel or a quiet scenic train ride.

Since she put it out there I am going to ask you all what you would have done differently in this situation? My immediate answer would have been to put a leash on the dog and bring it with me into the park if it was a service dog and I carry the note from my doctor. Unless of course she only brings the dog with her everywhere because she can carry it in a purse but the second the dog becomes any real work she leaves it behind.
