Dog Wheelchair Stolen From Front Yard

Stealing from others is disgusting enough but this is a pretty new low. I am not even sure why someone would think they wanted this device yes they are expensive to have made but that is because they are made for each dog and fitted to them in order for the dog to have the best results. If used on another dog it would not be properly fitted and the dog could fall out if it was too big for them or be injured by the device if it were too small.

Someone stole Lucky the dog’s wheelchair from his front yard while he was having some quiet time in the sun with his family. Lucky needs his wheelchair to get around after he was stuck by a car several years ago. With the aid of the wheelchair he can run around and play like any other dog. The wheelchair can elevate their legs off the ground if they have no use of them due to injury or they can be used so less pressure is applied to the joints and bones if they have some use of the injured area. The use of wheelchairs allows dogs to remain active and happy and live a pretty full life after an injury or accident where in the past this would not have been possible. Lucky was already given a replacement wheelchair by a local wheelchair company so his owners would have to worry about how he would get around until they could find him a new one.

Below is a video of a dog hiking in the woods and swimming in a lake using its wheelchair. The dog is clearly happy and having a good time playing with its family. That’s the point of the wheelchairs to allow active dogs who are injured to stay active and lead a happy life even though they are disabled.
