Pet Blogger Blog Hop

I am sitting here typing with Davinia keeping my lap warm and her head on my arm. Indiana is asleep curled up next to Whisper my parents dog who the last time we were here wanted nothing to do with the girls other then to get them out of her house. The girls are snuggled up in their pajamas trying to keep warm and for the most part they are staying pretty warm. I on the other hand would love to have a cup of Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows in my hand just about 24/7 since getting up here.

Tonight was pretty quiet we went for a walk, made dinner, and then watched a movie. Tomorrow if we don’t get snowed in we are going to be serving 600 people who can’t afford to make Christmas this year Christmas Dinner. Friends of my parents told them they were going to be helping out and since we didn’t have any other plans and volunteers don’t need to be pre-approved we are going to go. Obviously the girls will have to stay home. Its definitely something different then what I grew up doing which would be to rent a movie to watch during the day and then have Chinese for dinner. Ok so the plan is to have Chinese for dinner tomorrow night (if we don’t get snowed in) and then drive around to look at everyone’s Christmas decorations.

I think that seeing people’s decorations rates at the very top of my list for this time of year. Growing up in Miami I am partial to white lights wrapped around palm trees but I love to see how everyone decorates. If you posted your decorations on your blog feel free to leave a link to that post in the comment section so that I can stop by.

  1. It sounds like a wonderful way to spend the holiday. Merry Christmas to you & yours.

  2. Happy holidays foryou and your dogs ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. we found three palm trees at a garage sale that were part of some store's decor and used to decorate them. too many fosters wee-d on them. we don't decorate a christmas tree but choose a tree to plant in the yard. no decorations this year since we're in the US. i love the lighted palm trees, though. real ones. they're great around here, too (qld, australia).

  4. I found you on the Pet Blogger Hop. I'm Avalon the cat (but I think I've been a dog in a previous life). I'm a cat actor (you can admire me in the film The Strangers Outside) and I'm the star of my very own cat cartoon. I'm also proud to be your newest follower. Merry Christmas!

  5. Glad you all get to be together on the holidays. I think the volunteer idea is great and I hope you take a lot of pleasure in it.

Merry Christmas! And thanks for hosting the blog hop!

  6. that is a wonderful and caring way to spend Christmas. Very unselfish and extremely beautiful!

I LOVE Christmas decorations as well. I am completely obsessed with them. When I was little my Dad used to take us for rides to see the lights at night…those are some of my fondest memories.

  7. A very Merry Christmas to you Felissa and your sweet “kids”.

  8. I would love to see palm trees all lit up! We're so glad you have the opportunity to help in making Christmas for those who can't themselves now. A friend of mine takes his wife and kids every year on Thanksgiving day to what is basically a soup kitchen, and they help serve up Thanksgiving dinner for those in need. He feels it's the best way to teach his kids the meaning behind “thankful”, and I've always been so impressed with his family's dedication (and effort!) behind it.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  9. Happy Holidays to you two beauties, and your family. Sharing time with family, two-legged & four legged, is what Christmas and The Holiday Season is all about. May your family be blessed in the coming New Year.

  10. Cute! Hope you had a great Christmas. ๐Ÿ™‚
