Your House Full Of Dogs Can Be Guest Ready #Petiquette

Febreze Petiquette Disclosure

Davinia School of Petiquette

We have all seen the welcome mats that say wipe your paws and the funny memes that talk about dog hair being a fact of life either love it or don’t visit.

All joking aside most people with pets want to welcome family and friends to their home at least occasionally and want them to feel like a welcome guest. Welcoming your guests shouldn’t mean you have to take a week off from work and renting a Bulldozer for your house to be guest ready. We actually wrote a Blog Post about that last December called How to Get Rid of all of the Dog Fur Before Company Arrives. It’s tough I get it. Dogs shed. It rains and then they smell like wet dog and rub against the walls, carpet, and newly washed bedspread to dry off. They might not gets baths quite as often as they maybe should or the dog shampoo you have doesn’t smell great. I get it and so do the people at Febreze that is why they invited our Cavalier Instagram friend Toast Meets World (if you have never met Toast you are missing out) to join them today in NYC to share some tips about getting rid of the odors that you have become nose-blind to and making your home truly guest ready.

Febreze School of Petiquette

The Febreze School of Petiquette has some fantastic tips to help keep your Pet loving home guest ready. Febreze® is a pet owner’s other best friend because it doesn’t mask but truly eliminates pet odors and leaves behind a light, fresh scent.

The Febreze School of Petiquette Product Line up:

Air Effects instantly takes care of the odors in your air. Use it anywhere and anytime pet odors are lingering or when you need a burst of freshness. Great to use in any room, and especially great to store readily available in rooms like the kitchen and bathroom where odors pop up frequently and you quickly want to eliminate them. <-- I use this to spray above the stairs before I go to sleep. I don't do it every day but on days like today where it is raining and the dogs were up and down the stairs I find that spraying the air above them make the house smell fresh in the morning. Most of the main floor is Pergo but there are two rooms with carpet. The doors to the rooms are always closed so that there are no pee pee accidents. But that also means they smell musty when I do go in there because it is usually only for a few minutes at a time. The Air Effects is a great way to get rid of the musty smell before guests come over.

Fabric Refresher works great to instantly remove odors from fabrics. Use daily on fabrics that get a lot of high traffic and odors (dog beds, furniture). Start off every day by freshening those fabrics. <-- I admit it I have not been using this everyday but I have used it on several occasions since receiving the products. I pulled a hoodie out of the closet that I haven't worn since last winter and it smelled awful but I was going to a friend's house in the mountains and didn't want to have do the laundry. The sweater was clean (there was no dog hair on it) so I took it out of the closet and sprayed the Fabric Refresher on both side before hanging it up for a bit to allow it to dry. 30 minutes later it smelled fresh and I was ready to head out the door. Guest ready can also mean that you are ready to be a guest at someone's house.

Car Vent Clips continuously freshens your car and eliminate the tough pet odors that tend to hang inside your car. Place onto any air vent in your vehicle, set the intensity dial to begin releasing the level of scent of your choice, and replace every 30 days to constantly freshen and eliminate odors in your car. <-- My car takes a beating when it comes to all of the smells it has trapped inside on any given day. Things don't get left int he car but even a 15 minute drive with take out or 40 minutes each way once a week with the dogs in the car to visit grandma and grandpa means my car doesn't exactly smell like roses. On several occasions now my co-workers have driven in or taken my keys and driven my car. I might be nose blind to the smells that just sort of linger they certainly are not now which is why I am really excited to check out the Vent Clip before they have to drive in the car again. Its not a secret that I have dogs they all know Davinia and Indiana but they shouldn't have to put up with wet dog or dirty dog.

Febreze School of Petiquette Tips!

Bonus Carpooling Tip: For an extra dose of freshness in your car, break out the Febreze Fabric Refresher and use it on your fabric seats. I don’t have fabric seats but there is fabric on the back of the seats and since Davinia and Indiana’s crate goes on the back of the seats when they are turned down this is a great tip.

Febreze School of Petiquette shedding season bonus tip
Bonus Shedding Season Tip: After vacuuming, give your carpet and upholstery a spritz with Febreze Fabric Refresher to tackle the odors trapped deep in the fabric and leave behind a light, fresh scent. <-- I don't have carpet but I do have dog beds and blankets. So after vacuuming I took several of the girls blankets outside earlier today. I shook them off to get rid of the dirt and dog fur and then sprayed them with the Air Effects Products. I left them outside to air out which normally might of helped a little bit but using the Air Effects made them smell fresh and clean. Davinia decided to cuddle with one of the blankets as soon as I brought it inside. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Febreze School of Petiquette
