Wahl in conjunction with Pet Finder have teamed up to create the “Dirty Dog Campaign” to help 160 shelters across the country get 10,000 dogs ready for adoption. And to bring awareness to the issue facing shelters and rescues across the country. They need help getting their dogs into tip top shape in order to become more adoptable. As many as 8 million animals will be placed in shelters this year, but only half will find a home. With Petfinder Foundation’s search for America’s best #dirtydogs, there is an easy way for you to help thousands of pups find their forever home.
There’s a “Dirty Dog” Facebook contest along with the charity initiative: Beginning October 1, 2013 and running until October 31, Wahl and Petfinder are looking for America’s dirtiest dogs. Owners can participate by submitting a picture of their dirty dog and a story to the Wahl Home Facebook page.

Grand Prize is $5,000 to the shelter or rescue organization of the winner’s choosing, a year supply of Wahl grooming supplies, and a $100 gift card. Two Second Prizes: $1,000 to the shelter or rescue organization of their choosing, Wahl grooming supplies for a year, and a $50.00 gift card.
