I used Sweet Relish to create a list called “What your new Shelter puppy needs when it gets home”. Its an all inclusive list of everything from bowls to toys to enrichment games, to a special mat to wipe dirty little paws. Those with dogs know they need to have their own things to feel at home with you and that applies to whether you adopt a 12 week old puppy or take in a 10 year old dog. Of course the older dog might not need lots of chew bones but they would love a few plush toys to cuddle with. The list is a resource of the things you will want to have at home by the time your new dog arrives. Its a resource not a be all end all list so feel free to leave a comment below telling me what you think I should add to it.
