That is Not a Lost Puppy It is a Wolf!

Last month some tourists were hiking in Central Idaho when they found a puppy. They looked around for its owner for for other stray dogs but could not find any. So when they left the area they brought the puppy to the veterinarian who determined it wasn’t a lost puppy at all but a baby wolf. Wildlife officials were called in to try and find its pack in the area where the pup (the name for a baby wolf) was found. Officials could not find its pack or even any wolfs wandering on their own.



A blood test confirmed the animal is a wolf. It has been held at Zoo Boise, where officials are compiling a list of facilities accredited Zoos and Aquariums that would be suitable for the pup and have a pack that he could be introduced to and join. For now the young wolf is gaining weight and growing which is all the zoo can hope for until they can introduce it to a pack.
