Writers Wanted!

Two Little Cavaliers is going to be taking on some new projects in 2012 and we are looking for section Editors. Tell us why you are the perfect fit for one of these Editorial positions. Payment in product reviews and possible event invitations

Men Love Dogs Too – Editor 

Sorry ladies this is a gender specific Editor. We are looking for someone who can bring a bit of a different perspective about dogs and pets to our blog. Must be male and own dog. We don’t care if you are 25, 55, or 105 if you are male,  love dogs, and like to write we would love to hear from you. Being able to point and click the camera every once in a while doesn’t hurt either. 4 post per month.

Big Dog – Editor

We are looking for someone with a dog the size of a lab or bigger that LOVES to play with toys. For those of you who have been our readers for a while you know that most of our toy tester pictures is of the girls sniffing the toy and maybe Indiana putting it in her mouth for 2.5 seconds. We are looking for a dog willing to put toys through their paces. Lots of toys of all shapes and sizes. Is this your dog? Are they willing photo shoot participants if they are you might be the right fit. Must be able to submit at least 4 posts per month. Sighthound, Scenthound, Working Dog, Herding Dog, big cuddly mutt we love them all.

Dog with an Iron Stomach – Editor

Please don’t laugh we literally are desperate for someone willing to allow their dog(s) to try all the treats that companies want to send our way. You would be shocked at the amount of food and treats we are offered for review on a daily basis that we have to say no to. Davinia is very picky with what she eats and while Indiana will eat almost anything she also gets sicks from changing food and treats too often so we need a dog or dogs that love treats but do not have a sensitive stomach so we can participate in all of the treat offers we receive. At least 4 articles per month with possibility of more.

Fashion – Editor

We are looking for someone who loves fashion and has a small dog because lets face it most of the fun clothing out there is for small dogs. The fashion editor will need to be able to write at least 4 posts per month and take pictures of their dog modeling any clothing supplied by sponsors. This person will also approach companies for Reviews and Giveaways.

DIY – Editor

We are looking for someone who lives for crafts. You see fleece fabric and have to get sewing. You see leashes laying around you build a leash rack. You see something you love at the store but know you can go home and make it for less money and make it even more amazing? Yes, we are looking for you! Wow us with a few of your ideas so we know you have what it takes to submit 4 posts per month.

Reputable Breeder – Editor

You are someone who loves your breed so much you work hard day in and day out to help ensure the health and well being of your breed well into the future. You are someone who breeds to better your breed after first making sure your dogs are genetically clear of all possible breed specific hereditary issues. You show your dogs to Championship and keep in touch with every puppy your females ever whelped. You want to share your love of purebred dogs, how to find one, and what questions potential puppy owners should ask. You want to share information about what goes into being a reputable breeder before your first puppy ever comes along. We would love to be able to follow a litter from conception through going to their new homes. Will be responsible for vetting other breeders who would like to advertise their show entries on Two Little Cavaliers before big dog show like Westminster, National Dog Show, Etc. .

Dog Sports – Editor

Do you and your dog already participate in one or more dog sports events? We are looking for someone active in rally, obedience, agility, herding, lure coursing, Schutzhund, etc. You would be responsible for 4 articles per month which can include interviews, pictures, and video of other dog sports.

Mom or Dad with Kids and a Dog – Editor

We are looking for a family perspective on having pets. We know that your pet is an important part of your life but that your life revolves around your children. We want to know what your life is like with children and animals in the same house. We want someone willing to share the positives and negatives of everyday life. 4 articles per month. Willing to consider responsible children editors for this position but they must be willing to make a commitment to stick with it and have their parents sign the letter of commitment.
