13 Japanese Dogs Jump Rope to Guinness World Record

According to the dog handler at Uchida Geinousha’s ‘Super Wan Wan Circus’ in Japan this attempt to claim the world record in dogs jumping rope occurred by accident when Mayonnaise the very curious poodle joined in with some human jumpers. She was clearly enjoying herself and thought it was a great game. The Circus decided to include jumping rope during the dogs play time and they all really liked it. So it was added to their routine. The trainer says the dogs only jump rope because they think it is a game. If they didn’t want to jump they wouldn’t do it and wouldn’t be forced to continue.

The dogs participating in this special feat include Leo, Doremi, Button, Koume, Aya, Kimchi, Nami, Mayonnaise, Ann, Sumire, Kurobe and Akebi. Apparently the list of dogs was not entered correctly in the press release because there are only 12 names on this list and it is not in left to right order as it claims to be. The important part is the dogs are happy, getting exercise and having fun its just a bonus that their game has won them the World Record in number of dogs jumping rope at one time.

  2. That was totally awesome! I have not heard a word about this. Too bad all our news these days has to be bad news. No one ever reports on the good stories like this one. I mean, really, you got all those dogs to jump rope at the same time! That deserves some front pages somewhere. I am a new follower of your blog thru Facebook and RSS Reader. I would love a follow back on both of these when you get the chance. Thanks so much for your help and have a great day!
