Dogs for Autistic Children / Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

Earlier this week I posted a plea from a mother whose young son is Autistic. She is trying to get him an Autism Service dog so that he can be a kid and do the same things other children do but still keep her son safe. Autism service dogs are not cheap  the organization that provides the dogs for the families require that the families have a Fundraiser  in order to raise the money so that the organization can continue to train dogs for all of the families that need one. The Fundraisers spread awareness about autism, the organization, and how the dogs are able to help Autistic individuals. If you would like you can read her guest post here

Not only is this mother holding a Fundraiser so that an Autism Service Dog can help her son but she found a way that she might be able to win 4 Paws for Ability a $50,000 donation. The donation which would help cover the remainder of the money needed for her own son to receive his dog as well as help out several other families who need an extra push to raise the money necessary. The catch is that in order to win she needs help and I know that we as a Community can help her achieve her goal for her family and others in her position. To help, all you need to do is click this link and then click “connect with Facebook” (that’s it! no voting, just sign up).

  1. I think I did it. I signed up, but got no confirmation back. Will double check again. Definitely a good cause! My sister works with many autistic children and I know how important a dog can be. Totally hope she meets her goal!

  2. All the blogs look great!

  3. We hope the family is able to get the help and funds they need to help their son. It’s a very worthwhile cause.

  4. Hi Y’all,

Those poor people who don’t like dogs (or cats, or rabbits, or whatever). They don’t know what they are missing!
