A little over a week ago we brought you the story about the kennel owner in Lubbock County, Texas who was caught on camera spraying a fly infested dog with a can of raid. Investigators were called out to the location and picked up the can of raid as evidence to add to the already long list of issues going on at the kennel. Several days later he had removed several dogs from the property and sold it as is to a neighbor who within hours of signing the contract on the property had called local rescues to come and take the dogs in order to find them homes and vet care.
The rescue had the dogs seen by a Veterinarian and many tested positive for heart worms. The dogs are slowly learning to adapt to their new life. Where they are learning how to be dogs and just play around in the yard, play catch and relax in the kiddy pool to cool off in the heat. The rescue can only hold on to the dogs for a short time before they will need to be placed in foster homes in order to adjust to family life. Saving Grace Pitt bulls the Rescue who took the dogs in is looking for loving and patient families to foster the dogs before they’re adopted.
“We really would prefer they not live in a kennel anymore than they have to. We want them to experience what it’s like to live like a dog should,” said Jane Brewer, one of the founders Saving Grace.
For information on how to become a foster home and fill out an application for any of these dogs please visit I don’t believe any of the dogs from this kennel are ready for adoption at this time.
