Old Dog Haven to be Recipient of $1,000 Donation from Pedigree

Today marks the end of the Every Dog Deserves Campaign. Have you told Pedigree what Every Dog Deserves…? For every tweet mentioning @PedigreeUS, comment on Pedigree Adoption Drive’s Facebook wall, picture uploaded to their Fan Page, or interaction with them they will donate a bowl of food to a hungry dog. Actually they will donate up to 100,000 bowls of food

I wanted to introduce you all to organization that will be the recipient of the $1,000 Pedigree Donation. Old Dog Haven. Old Dog Haven is a small nonprofit group using a network of foster homes to provide a loving safe home for abandoned senior dogs. When they have room, and the means, they take these dogs into their homes; if possible they adopt out those with a reasonable life-expectancy. Old Dog Haven cares for the rest as long as they have good quality of life. They also try and assist owners in finding new homes for their senior dogs through their website and referrals.

We are presently caring for 210+ dogs in our homes from Blaine south to Vancouver,the Puget Sound islands and Kitsap Peninsula. Our wonderful foster parents provide hospice care, Final Refuge homes and temporary foster care for adoptable dogs awaiting placement. We thank them all! They are truly the backbone of our efforts. We are usually also assisting 20+ owners in placing their own senior dogs.

They rely on foster homes and generous donors to keep the dogs in their care comfortable and happy in their time at Old Dog Haven. O D H is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization and relies on donations for its income.
