Dog on the LIRR

Tuesday evening a Yellow Labrador / Pit bull mix decided to go for a ride on the Long Island Rail Road. MTA police named the 85 pound friendly dog, Hobo and took the dog from Farmingdale Station and turned him over to Long Island Veterinary Specialist to check to make sure he was okwhere he stole the hearts fo the staff before being brought to the shelter . It is thought that “Hobo” got loose from his home during a severe storm and once loose ran to the shelter of the train station for safety. Being a friendly dog Hobo got on the train when the doors opened and made lots of new friends during his adventure.

“Hobo” was reunited with his family last night.

That's one smart pup heading to where someone would see him and possibly help him! Glad he was reunited with his family for a happy ending!
