Review:
It took some time to finally get a day where I had time to bath both dogs and that it wasn’t raining or muddy outside but I finally got to bath the girls this weekend. I knew I was going to be using this shampoo and I had heard great things about it so I was excited to see how it would work for us. The smell which I was a little worried about (it has both tea tree oil and rosemary) was not overpowering. I poured some of the Shampoo in my hand to lather on Indiana (not sure how I caught Indiana first). You need to be really careful when you pour because it is in essentially an oil and it comes out fast.

I love the fact that it lathers right up. I did use a lot for little dogs but they were both dirty and sort of smelly and was hoping to get them as clean as possible. I was really amazed at how white it got their white areas. I did have to wash their legs twice but my little tomboys love to play in anything dirty so that wasn’t the shampoos fault. They were shiny white and their coats looked and felt clean and soft. It is now several days later and they still look clean and their coats look shiny. I can still smell the shampoo a tiny bit.

Getting back to the bathing part even though the Shampoo lathers up really well it was so easy to wash it all off. I didn’t feel like there is any residue left on either of the dogs. Oh the best part I almost forgot to tell you there was no wet dog smell after I used this shampoo at all. Even while I was drying Davinia and Indiana they smell clean and fresh which sometime doesn’t happen until after they are dry. I honestly really like this product and would probably use it each time I bathe the dogs but we have several other shampoos we were sent for review and giveaway but this is one that I will keep around for the future.

They weren’t very itchy before their baths so I can’t say whether the shampoo soothed their skin but it certainly didn’t irritate it. I do want to point out though that this shampoo will repel fleas and ticks that are not on your dog it will not kill fleas or get rid of those that are already on them. It will wash away flea dander / bloodmeal which helps cut back on the available food sources for a baby flea. It is a great addition to help keep your pets parasite free (fleas and ticks are parasites).
