#Mamavation Monday Sponsored by Gruve Solution

The Gruve Solution™ is a new, completely revolutionary approach to weight management developed in cooperation with Mayo Clinic. It isn’t a magic pill, miracle powder or meal replacement plan. It’s not about counting points, cutting carbs, or purchasing body-bending contraptions. And it doesn’t require 60 minutes at the gym 3 times a week or a $100-per-month membership. Instead, the Gruve Solution is an unprecedented, personalized, scientifically proven solution that enables healthy, sustainable weight loss. It helps you to remember to move more often. In fact I have heard it vibrate and buzzes if you have been inactive too long. It reminds you to step away from the computer and go for a walk something I definitely need.

I wonder if it works in the pool if you swim laps. Anyway on to todays post.

I am obviously so far behind with getting everythign up today that I am going to make this short and sweet. Here is my question of the week that I need help with. I have stopped buying the junk food and don’t drink soda anymore but I still want something to snack on. This is a difficult request because of my Gluten Allergies and the fact that raw vegetables make me sick. So what do you all grab when you need a quick snack? I tried grabbing some chickpeas and then realized that there are 3 servings per can and each serving has 350mg of sodium at that point I am better off eating a piece of chocolate.

If I grab a piece of fruit I have to cut it up and share it with the dogs and then I don’t get the whole thing anyway. They want some too and well it is a healthy snack for them as well  so why not. Only problem is that instead of eating say an apple I only get 3/4 or 1/2 of the apple so I still want something. I am taking vitamins and minerals so I don’t have to worry about getting enough in my body through meals each day because I am already getting them and I for sure eat all my servings of vegetables.

At least when I got really stressed out today I grabbed a bottle of water and not a bag of chocolate. That is a big step in the right direction.

I just need healthy snacks. Any suggestions?

Thanks for supporting Gruve. Gruve is NOT water proof so dont wear it in the pool. BTW, no retail device can accurately measure your caloric burn while you swim. There are just too many factors at work such as bathing suit drag, stroke technique, water temp, etc… You get the idea. The same is true for trying to measure calories burned while riding a bike outside, variables such as headwind, road condition, tire pressure, riding position make it impossible to accurately measure.
