We left yesterday morning to drive to my parents in Georgia. The drive is about 12 hours without potty breaks which is just too much for me to do in one day so I made reservations to stay in Perry Georgia at the Microtel which is pet friendly. When we got here to check in they asked if we were going to be showing this weekend. Ummm no one can show right now but I was curious so I asked why. Apparently I was so focused on the fact that there is a Cavalier Specialty Show in Atlanta next weekend that I missed the fact that there is a Cluster show here in Perry this weekend.
I was a bit nervous when they told me the hotel has a number of doggy guests because Davinia hasn’t really been able to socialize lately and there are dogs of all shapes and sizes here. Well she was absolutely amazing. Last night we met a Dogue de Bourdeaux who was a year old and then his sister who is only 3 months old. Oh my DOG she was HUGE. The coolest part is that we live really close to them and we are going to have play dates when we get home! They actually have 8 of these dogs so maybe not a play date with all 8 in the same day considering the 3 month old puppy could have squished the girls by putting her paw down on them but they were beautiful. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me when we went out for a walk and bumped into them. I have been looking out my window this morning to see if they walk by but haven’t seen them to take their pictures with Davinia and Indiana.
PS I know I owe a number of people emails and will be doing that this weekend. Please bare with me as I had to deal with a personal matter this week before I could get on the road.
What a good job Davinia, not screaming at all those furry kids. Have fun today

I have never heard of a Dogue de Bourdeaux and had to do “the google dance”. OMG they are BIG but do look friendly! Did you get doggie room service *drools* <3 Miss Kodee & Miz Becky
No we weren't in that kind of Hotel. Mommy made us our Honest Kitchen Food in the room and went out to get her own dinner. We got to cuddle in bed though and mommy took a picture which she said she would post of Davinia sitting on the windowsill.
