When I first received the email about this Product Pitch I thought someone had typed too fast and didn’t proofread before hitting send. It made me curious what sort of opportunity this would be (hey Indiana and Davinia might be tempted to taste test some hot dogs as training treats) so I clicked on it and found this really cute book.
To be completely honest I am more of a fan of the adorable pictures of the dogs then of the captions. Maybe it is because when I imagine Davinia talking she has an air of artistocracy about her with a slight accent that is neither British or German or completely American but she speaks in fulla nd complete sentences. Indiana on the other hand probably would speak in German with English thrown in not as artistocratic as Davinia but not baby speak either.
This book is meant to be cute and fun which it is but there is an underlying message to the book. If you actually pay attention to the chapter titles:
- Cute
- Food
- Do Not Want
- Kill Cat
- Brain
- Trouble
- Play
- Zzz
You see that the book take you through the life of ownign a dog. On any given day your dog could do some or all of these things and if you aren’t prepared to laugh at the trouble that they get into maybe you aren’t ready to have a dog of your own.

I am a subscriber. I took my dog with when we got our second dog so that they could meet on neutral grounds. As soon as we put the fluffy, confused puppy in front of him, he was terrified and hid under a park bench.

My shepherd loved chasing our rabbit. She would run up and tap the rabbit's tail to make him run. Then she would jump around and was so excited until he stopped to snack. Then the tapping would start again.
