Kale is a super-food for you and Fido it is a great source of Vitamins A, C, and K. By adding it to your dog’s diet occasionally you can boost their nutrient intake without upping their calorie count by very much. The one cup of kale in this recipe is 33 calories! Kale is a vegetable that Davinia and Indiana really love it is easy to find and doesn’t take much work with cook with so feel free to include it in your dog’s treats or steam some extra to top their food with. Unless they are cooked I would refrain from offering the stem to your dog go for the leafy green part and like with anything else kale should not be overdone. Too much of a good thing it still too much.
Please remember to treat responsibly!
