Looking Back at BlogPaws VIP Events

Looking Back at BlogPaws VIP Events

Every year at BlogPaws there are Sponsors that look to meet BlogPaws Community members in a more intimate setting. This year that was during VIP Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch on various days during the Conference. While I wasn’t personally invited to all of the VIP Events I sat in on each of them as a liaison between the BlogPaws Community Members and the Brands in order to ensure that everyone got the most out of the time spent together. For most events by the time we got to the event itself it meant sitting in the back and just being there to help and others it meant being there in two capacities a BlogPaws Team member and as the creator of Two Little Cavaliers. In all cases I had been in direct contact with the Sponsors for several weeks before the Conference to ensure that they were ready to meet the BlogPaws Community.

To get things started off American Animal Hospital Association hosted a Brunch and Learn on Thursday late morning. AAHA discussed what it means to be an AAHA accredited Veterinary Clinic because did you know that that your Veterinarian does not need to have any certification or oversight when it comes to the practice they run? That is where AAHA comes in. Unaccredited locations does not necessarily mean that the clinic is subpar or practicing bad medicine. On the other hand being AAHA Accredited means that they go through a grilling process that the entire staff has to be a part of and on board with! It means the practice MUST have certain instruments and practice certain basic procedures for all surgeries. Most Veterinarians that are AAHA Accredited have a sticker right on their front door letting everyone that walks through the door but as AAHA says Veterinarians are not the best at Marketing themselves so you might need to do a little digging to find out for sure. You can check to see if your Veterinarian is Accredited or if there are any AAHA Accredited Clinics in your area by visiting their Hospital Locator

Some of our Community VIP lunched on Friday with the Red Roof Inn Team to learn all about their Pet Policy. If you are traveling this summer check out their Pets Stay Free Policy! You will need to call ahead if you have multiple pets to make sure that your location choice allows multiples but all Pets Stay Free! During the VIP lunch we gave the team some feedback on what we think it means for a Hotel to be Pet Friendly. We shared happy Hotel Experiences with Pets as well as disaster stays. The team took our feedback and will be sharing it with Red Roof Corporate Team to make their Hotels even more Pet Friendly. If you are a BlogPaws Community Member be sure to go back and check your old emails from right before the Conference when the announcement went out that Red Roof Inn was our overflow Hotel and their INCREDIBLE offer of 15% off at any location in the US this year!

PetSafe Lunched with a select group of Community members they deemed VIB – Very Important Bloggers that they wanted to get to know and create an ongoing relationship with. The PetSafe Team came out in droves from their headquarters to visits with the BlogPaws Community. PetSafe can help you keep your dog in the yard, have a nice doggy door installed, help you scoop the litterbox less (because who wouldn’t like to do that less?), pet cameras, treats, and some really fantastic water fountains to help keep your pet hydrated. The PetSafe team was all about having one on one discussions with the Bloggers and so that is exactly what they did.

Virbac brought together Bloggers on Saturday morning for breakfast that reside in the South and other flea and tick infested areas of the Country to talk about the newest addition to their lineup Sentinel – Puppies and older dogs need to be protected against a plethora of nasty bugs and germs. SENTINEL® protects against 5 different parasites in a convitent tab form flavored in flavors that your dog will take. Heartworm, fleas, and ticks might not be your favorite breakfast conversation but I really learned a ton while sitting in. I thought that once I pulled up the carpet I was taking away prime flea breeding ground. I certainly get rid of their hiding places but they are happy to reproduce anywhere in your house that the sun don’t visit in full force. That includes under the couch and between the boards on a wood floor. They also really like your bed and a number of other places. What Sentinel does different compared to other Flea products is that instead of killing off the adult or being an unfriendly environment for a flea to visit it completely takes away the ability for the flea to emerge from its egg. PERIOD.

  1. Great info. I love to hear about events at the conference as I’m hoping to attend my first one in Phoenix.

  2. The VIP events I attended were wonderful. It is great to learn about a brand’s product directly from them. Though I will say…watching fleas hatch and squirm during breakfast was a bit disturbing. LOL

Oz the Terrier recently posted..Thank You Bravo! for Special MomentsMy Profile

  3. We loved the VIP events we attended. Things are so busy after BlogPaws we haven’t had a chance to post in depth about the companies we met, but it will be coming in July.

  4. This is good information Felissa. I just wish I knew what the requirements are to be included! It does seem to feel somewhat exclusive.

  5. Those sound like really great events! I am sure those smaller events were especially great opportunities for the bloggers invited.
