If you have ever been curious about Irish dog breeds, we put together a list just for you ok fine maybe not just for you because I happen to really like several dogs on the list. And if I was looking for a Medium / Large Dog a lot of these Kissible Irish Dog Breeds would be at the top of my list.

5 Kissable Irish Dog Breeds

Irish Setter
The Irish Setter was one of the original breeds recognized by AKC. They have wonderful personalities and adore a healthy amount of exercise. They are field retrievers who love the outdoors. Since they are companion dogs they work well with children. They make a wonderful family dog!

I think they are stunning with their red flowing coats. They have very similar personalities to a Cavalier from what I understand.

Irish Terrier
Irish Terriers were used to transport messages in World War I. They are very loyal, sweet, and friendly dogs. The Irish Terrier was first recognized by the AKC in 1885 and has been a show favorite ever since. They adore their owners and make wonderful companions.

Irish Water Spaniel
The Irish Water Spaniel is a natural water dog and will do whatever it can to get into the water. Irish Water Spaniels are loyal to their owners and make great family pets. They enjoy the outdoors and a high level of activity.

Irish Wolfhound
Irish Wolfhounds are the largest and tallest of hounds. They are a very fast and very agile breed and enjoy being active. Their existence goes back to Roman times where they were often given as gifts in wealthy families.

Irish Red & White Setter
The Irish Red & White Setter just became an official AKC breed a few years ago. This breed is red and white in color with a coat that many find attractive. It is an active dog, once used for hunting. It is perfect for a family as it enjoys the company of others.

Do you own any of these kissable Irish Dog breeds? As you can see they make great pets and can add a little luck of the Irish to your family!

It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between usability
