How to Create Safe Garden Pathways for Your Dog
When landscaping your yard, it is important to keep your dog’s safety in mind. Creating pathways that are safe for them to travel is important, as they are likely to enjoy time in the yard as much as you do. Take a look below at how to create safe garden pathways for your dog so the warm summer months can be ones that you all enjoy together!

1. Smooth bricks for pavers.
This is easier on paws than tiny gravel pieces. Dogs are also less likely to try to eat the brick as they may nose through gravel pieces. Brick pavers are easy to lay with a level and some sand, and can easily be but down in a weekend. Plus, they clean off nicely with the hose if there are any accidents on them.
2. Create simple paths for training.
Keep your dog out of flowers and gardens when you create simple paths for them to travel on. They will prefer the easy feel of the paths and use them instead of running through your beautiful plantings.
3. Mulch.
Mulch is soft and wears well and may be an easier way to create yard paths for your dog. Just apply it in layers in the directions of your choice.
4. Avoid cocoa beans.
When mulching your paths, avoid cocoa bean hulls as they will make your dog sick. Opt for other varieties available and leave this sweet smelling mulch on the shelves.
5. Keep paths clean.
If paths become dirty and blocked, dogs won’t use them. Instead, keep the paths clean and dog’s are more likely to give them a go.
Give these tips a try and you can enjoy some scenic and safe garden paths in your yard. You and your dog will have a better relationship when they know where they are allowed and where they need to stay out of. Help your dog learn and you will live a happier life together.

Brilliant tips thanks, I will remember these if I ever get to a point where I am landscaping the garden!!
