We Took the Only Natural Pet #PawNatural Challenge
Before we get into the post I want to put in a disclaimer. We were not a part of the Pet360/ Only Natural Pet Campaign that many of you probably saw recently. However, I do work for Pet360 as the BlogPaws Blogger Outreach and Communications Manager. That means I run all of the BlogPaws Campaigns. It also means that while we did not receive the product I am about to discuss for free we did receive the employee discount on our total purchase.
As the person that runs all of the BlogPaws Campaigns I get advanced notice of everything in the coming soon stage which means I had time before our Bloggers were introduced to the campaign to do my own research and learn about the products that Pet360 was adding to their line up. That also means that I had some time to decide if going Natural for our Flea and Tick preventative was something that I could risk living here in the Georgia Mountains. For those of you that live in the South you know that this is not a decision to be taken lightly. Fleas and Ticks stink. Once they invade for the season they are there to stay but you are willing to do anything to give your dog some relief and get the offending nasties out of the house. Been there done that where double dosing, flea bombing, and other remedies still did not rid us of the problem.
In the end I decided that I had to try. I just do not like the idea of putting chemicals that don’t work as well as they should on a 10 and 8 year old Cavalier. I went all in making sure that we have the products necessary to prevent as well as get rid of the nasty buggers and placed the order.
Thank goodness I made the switch. Switching to Natural flea and tick preventative saved us from a trip to the Emergency Vet.
After applying the spot on treatment to Indiana I went ahead and applied Davinia’s treatment. Only Indiana decided that was the perfect time to groom Davinia and she started licking the spot right where I had applied the Flea and Tick product. I immediately separated the dogs and put Indiana out on the balcony. Knowing that the main ingredients are Geranium Oil and Peppermint Oil made me confident I didn’t need to rush Indiana to the Vet but I expected some reaction from the dog that eats anything not bolted down.
She was fine.
No upset stomach.
No needing to go out in the middle of the night.
She was her usual self and ready to play. She wanted to know why I stopped her from licking Davinia. Actually I always stop her when I see her grooming Davinia so that she doesn’t bleach Davinia’s coat but this particular time it wasn’t just a no she was removed from the situation. If I had used a traditional chemical flea and tick preventative we would have been rushing to the Vet for emergency help. That was the final deciding factor.
Chemicals do not have a place in our house anymore – not for Flea and Tick prevention, not for cleaning products, or anything else. Thank you Pet360 and Only Natural Pet for helping keep Davinia and Indiana happy and healthy in what could have been a really horrible situation.

Wow, nice that you made the switch! Crisis averted.
