St. Patrick’s Day Fun with Your Dog

Who says doggies can’t have fun on St. Patrick’s Day too? This year, why not get your dog all decked out in green and gold? There are several ways you can add some St. Patrick’s Day flare to Fido and get everyone in the Irish spirit. Take a look below for some fun ideas!

1. Paint their nails.
Your local groomer (or you can do this yourself) can paint your pups nails with a little green or gold nail polish. If your dog will stay still, why not give him or her a manicure? This is a fun way to add a little color and St. Patrick’s Day charm!

2. Make a decorative scarf.
Head to your local craft store for a green bandana or some St. Patrick’s Day themed fabric. Cut the fabric into a large square and fold into a bandana shape. Then tie it around your pup’s collar for some instant St. Patrick’s Day fun.

3. Add some collar flare.
You can find St. Patrick’s Day stickers at your local dollar store that can be used to adorn the collar. Just peel and stick.

4. Fun head gear.
Not all dogs will wear them, but dollar stores and pet stores have a variety of head gear for your dog to wear. You will find fun mini hats, headbands, and more. See what your store has and if your dog will wear one, give them a try!

5. Give them a nibble!
So maybe your pup won’t dress up. That’s ok. Maybe you can just give them a tiny nibble of corned beef instead?
