Supplies needed for your Dr. Seuss Decorations:
Construction paper
Scissors
Yellow or white ribbon
Craft glue

You can find all of these supplies at your local dollar store. You can also check your scrap bin top see which of these supplies you may already have on hand.

Directions:
1. Begin by cutting out 5-7 circles from your yellow paper. Set them aside.
2. Cut out the same number of stars, but this time from your green paper. We freehanded our star, however you can use a stencil or pattern if you wish.
3. Glue the star to the top of the circle. Press it to make sure it adheres well.
4. Lay your ribbon flat on a table or floor. Begin attaching the circles to the ribbon, adding space of about 2 inches in between each.

Your Sneetches garland is now ready to be displayed. Hang it at the entryway of your party or gathering, on your food table, or even a mantel if you wish. It is a fun play on the colors and shapes emphasized in the book The Sneetches, a wonderful Seuss book with an even more wonderful lesson.

  1. Love Dr. Seuss! Rhyming words that made it possible for young dyslexic readers to memorize stories and slowly learn what the shape of words looked like – where would I have been without him.
