Right before Christmas we received an email from our friends at Purina asking us if we would like to host a party and share some food and other goodies with our dog friends. I had a long conversation and the result is that Two Little Cavaliers will not be hosting the party one of our readers, friends, or fans will be! What does that mean? You supply the party location and Purina will ship the party direct to you. All you need to do is invite your friends with their dogs and snap away with the camera.

Ok there are a few steps before you get to that stage and a few after party steps as well but lets start at the beginning.

Well to start off with you have to have a dog. We don’t care what size, shape, color, age, or gender your dog is. Your dog should probably be friendly because it would stink if the host(ess) was grumpy at their own party. You dog should also like to be a taste tester. You don’t have to serve an entire can of the food to your dog or the guests because let’s face it a sudden switch in food will cause stomach upset and that is not what we are looking for. A scoop or two will do.

You should have a camera. It does not need to be a DSLR but you should be able to take decent pictures of the set up, party guests, taste testing, and fun you are going to have. Because this is an important part of the opportunity we will need to see a picture or two but we will get to that later.

While we would love it if you could have the party outside because pictures just turn out better and we would love to see all the party guests playing int he yard we realize that isn’t something that in reality can happen in many states across the country right now. Which means you shouldn’t mind if your house gets a little messy from dirty paw prints and messy taste testers.

You should have the ability to go to the store and pick up the Human goodies that you will receive coupons for because well no party is complete without goodies for the people too.

Here is a list of everything that you would get for up to 10 taste testing party dogs:

– Samples of ALPO for the dogs (enough to get your party started as well as some for favor bags to keep the party going after your guests leave)

– A premium ALPO placemat and bowl for your dog

– Disposable bowls and mats for pups at the party

– Nestlé coupons to get food for your human friends

– Dry-erase thought bubbles to write what the dogs have to say about ALPO

– Favor bags to give your party guests (supplies for up to 10 favor bags, including ALPO samples, coupons, bandanas and Kong toys)

– Streamer decorations and banners

– Invitation (this is a digital file that we’ll send to you via email)

It really is a party in a box. And you get to throw the party.

You should also be able to write up your experience about the party and be willing to share your pictures because guess what. Not only are you throwing a party but your party will be featured right here on our blog so that all of our readers will be able to check out the fun you had at your party! You don’t need a perfect house our readers completely understand if the couch has a bite mark on it from puppy teeth or if the carpet has stains (there is a reason that it was the first thing I changed when we got this house). Our readers love all dogs from itty bitty Chihuahuas to Big Giant Newfoundlands and anything and everything in between.
