Nutrish What a Shelter Dog Needs Pin it to Win it Contest #NutrishPets

I recently had the opportunity to hang out with some of the members of the Nutrish team where we got to make a pet bowl. I decided to make a water bowl that Davinia and Indiana could share. When I was done making the bowl I joked around that after the bowl was glazed and fired that they would give it to a 5 year old thinking that they made it and give me their fantastic creation instead. It is a really good thing that just like when I attempted to sew Indiana’s stuffed toys back together when she was a puppy that she didn’t care what it looked like they will not care what their water bowl looks likes. They just know their bowl is always kept filled with clean water and that they have other bowls for their food. There are so many dogs waiting in shelters that don’t have a water bowl to call their own or a special toy that they can sleep with at night. Shelter dogs need leashes, and collars, and treats, and a bed to call their own.

What is Rachael’s Rescue?

Rachael’s Rescue was created for all of the forgotten pets — the ones that might not have someone who loves them as much as you love your pet. To date, proceeds from sales of Nutrish have gone toward food, medical supplies and treatments for animals in need. Many more shelters around the country need help, and through Rachael’s Rescue, together we can make a difference in the lives of many four-legged friends.
