Dog Survived
After getting caught in the front-end of a car, the white poodle mix believed to be around 5 to 7 years old, survived an 11-mile ride down Route 44 from Taunton to East Providence. A motorist driving a Toyota said he saw the dog darting out across the busy highway near Segregansett Country Club as he was heading to work. He immediately braked and got out of his car to look around to make sure the dog was ok. He didn’t see the dog and thought it had run off.

The dog had not run off but was actually stuck in the space for the air in-take section of the front end of the car just below the car’s grill. Wedged between there the car’s bent license plate frame, she hung on for dear life the rest of the way. The driver having no dea the dog was there continued on his way until exiting the highway was stopped at a light when another driver pointed out the dog. At that point he was close to the local police station and knowing he would need help he drove the rest of the way there. An officer was sent out to help the man get the dog out and immediately transported it to the closest vet for care. It is a mirable the dog survived at all. According to the officer the poodle mix had a bad concussion a small cut above the eye, and a tear in her intestine. She was treated put on antibiotics and pain medication. that was 10 days ago. She is now active and extremely lovable and looking for her home. She was wearing a distinctive collar but there were no tags and he microchip while embedded had no registration information attached to it other then it came from Kentucky.
