Utah Police Dogs Compete in Agility, Bite Work, and Obedience
The Utah Peace Officers Association K9 trials will begin tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. at the Provo High School football field. The competition is open to the public and will put police dogs from around the state through the ringer. According to Provo Officer Rory Rasmussen, roughly 36 dogs and handlers will compete in events testing agility, bite work and obedience.
As part of the K9 trials, the Utah Peace Officers Association will have T-shirts and other items available for purchase. All of the proceeds from items purchased will go to benefit Unified Police K9 Officer Angie Martin, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Wow, what a cool event! Especially that the proceeds of purchases will go to a good cause. Thanks for sharing this!
Police dogs are so cool and can do amazing things. I once saw one that was to to go get in the car, he proceeded to walk over to the police car, open the door and jumped in the backseat. His (human) partner then walked over to the door and closed. It was really neat to watch.
