Nutro Room to Run – Nominations Still Accepted!

strong>Nutro Room to Run

Now in its third year, The Nutro ROOM TO RUN™, a community program designed to support public, non-profit dog parks and off-leash areas, to encourage greater community engagement is expanding to help even more communities beautify their dog parks. On June 13, 2012, the grant application forms became available on the ROOM TO RUN™ grant website at www.easymatch.com/NutroRoomToRun. Thirty $2,000 grants will be awarded on a rolling basis (through October 2012) to help fund enhancement efforts in public, non-profit dog parks serving local communities in the U.S. Dog park enhancements may range from General repairs and maintenance (e.g., painting benches, repairing fences), Installation of new play equipment for the dogs, landscaping to keep the park cooler and greener while providing shade for the summer months, as well as poop bag and garbage receptacle locations around the park to help aid in keeping the park clean.

Nutro Room To Run Community Grant Program

To award the grants, The Nutro ROOM TO RU Associate Board was formed in order to review and select parks that exhibit the greatest need of beautification. The deadline for entries is September 30, 2012. Nutro ROOM TO RUN criteria for grant support consideration include:

Demonstrate the enhancement needs of the dog park and the resulting benefit to community. The more documentation and information you provide the greater chance your community dog park has of winning.
Confirm dog park officials are willing to make park enhancements and that they can be executed in a six-month time period.
Applicant and/or recipient dog park will provide photo updates of dog park enhancements.
Recipient dog park is willing to place a placard provided by The Nutro Company in the park for at least one year, commemorating the grant and the beautification of the park so that others can see who helped make it possible.

Are you going to nominate your local dog park for the Nutro Room to Run Grant?

This post is brought to you by our sponsor Nutro Knowledge Network. Questions that they pose to our community is a way for them to say hello to and engage with all of you. Nutro feels that in order for the brand to know what the people and pets they want to serve need and want they themselves need to get to know the pets and their families first.
