Young hunting dog in training accidentally shoots owner
A dog in France accidentally shot his owner when he jumped up on his owners for some attention. The man was holding his hunting riffle at the time and didn’t check to make sure the safety was on. When they dog jumped up the gun discharged shooting his hand in the process.
After being airlifted to the hospital nothing could be done by doctors to save the man’s hand and it had to be amputated. The man does not blame the dog for wanting some love and attention he blames himself for not making sure the safety was on when he was working on the gun. Rene the dog’s owner told radio station France-Bleu Périgord how, as on many other occasions, he was out hunting deer with three of his Basset hounds in the southwest of France, near his hometown of St Michel de Double. Two of the dogs were running after an animal, while the youngest lingered behind, close to him. The young dog jumped up and his paw hit the trigger.
oh no~!! what a sad story. :/

Oh, what a sad story! I’m so glad the man realizes that it was his error and not the dog’s though!

Glad the pup isn’t being blamed by the owner, just following it’s instincts for attention and love. Nice to hear everyone is okay!
This is so sad, it just shows HOW careful you must be with guns!
