Young boy helps injured dog get the care it needs.

A young boy from Kennett, Missouri named Hayden saw an injured dog on Sunday morning and saw that no one was stopping to help it. He happened to be on his way to church with his mother and when he got there he went to look for the police officer who is a member of their church and asked him for help. The officer contacted the Kennett Humane Department and the injured dog was taken to the KenMo Veterinary Clinic where it was determined that the Great Pyrenees puppy had a broken leg and other health issues. All treatable with a great prognosis but costly.
Hayden’s involvement with the injured dog did not end there. He has asked his mother to take him to go and visit the giant puppy he named Slicer they play together on the floor and enjoy each other company. When Hayden found out that the puppy needs medical care he went home and emptied his piggy bank and donated the $20 to Slicer’s care.
Way to go Hayden for helping the dog and going above and beyond to make sure Slicer is getting the care he needs!
