Wordless Wednesday Some Pictures from Our Move

Happy Wordless Wednesday Everyone!!!

Here are some pictures I have been taking with the phone on my camera while we have been in the middle of our move. We are still not in our new apartment though our furniture is now set up and a few boxes were unpacked today I still have probably 40 boxes left to go. Hoping to be mostly done by Thursday so I have the weekend to rest. Next week is going to be a HUGE week for me and so I need to get as much rest as possible this weekend.

Cows in field
Most people know we are city girls. Well today when I left the apartment after the movers delivered my stuff right there in the middle of town was a trailer truck with a few cows and a giant sheep. I guess I must have been so shocked by seeing them go through the city that I didn’t take a picture. So I made sure to have my phone ready when I passed the farm before you get to my parents house and the farmer actually had them out in the field so I slowed down and snapped a few pictures.

Davinia and Indiana with Bones
My parents dog Whisper gets to have a chew stick each day. Its a small one but she chews on it nicely unlike Davinia and Indiana who need them to start off bigger then their heads so I can take them away before they get too close to the end. Here they are playing with their special chew bones which they get only every few weeks.

Indiana phone
We were all cuddling in bed at the hotel and so I decided to try and take pictures of the girls resting. This is Indiana.

Davinia resting in bed watching tv with me while I was doing work on our blog.

Cat at hotel
We USED to stay at the Microtel in Perry, Georgia whenever we drove up from Miami since it is located about 9 hours from our old house in Miami but another 3+ hours to my parents and by then we were all tired, ready for dinner, and needing to relax. The front desk staff knew us and we never had a problem with the girls being there. The rooms were clean and they offered free breakfast that the dogs always benefited from getting to have a fresh hot waffle as a treat for the car ( can’t eat the free hotel breakfast generally so I get a juice and make the girls a waffle to share). A ton of dogs stay there especially when there are dog shows at the fairgrounds across the highway. We once met a Puli there and hung out with a family of Dogue De Bordeux (big giant red French Mastiffs). Sometimes there would be horses in trailers with herding dogs running in the field next door if it happened to be a horse show weekend and so the girls would sniff the air not sure what to make of the horses. But the strangest sight were two feral cats resting in the spot I needed to pull into to park. One I didn’t see again after checking into the hotel but this grey fluffy one stuck around and didn’t want to let me leave the next morning. It wouldn’t let me too close but I did offer it one of the dogs treats I am sure it was eaten after we left. I know I really should not have fed it anything but I felt bad because it was so cold out and it was sticking around the hotel anyway.

Woof! Thanks for sharing the pics of Davinia and Indiana! They appear to be happy travelers. Oscar isn’t much for chew toys or sticks so I haven’t personally tried them, but I’ve heard that the all natural antlers available in pet boutiques are safe for dogs and that the dogs love them. Wag, wag!
