The Two Little Cavalier household is packing our bags and moving out of state from Florida to Georgia. The only problem is we need YOUR help! Usually we are the one to recommend products to you but in this case we need you to recommend a mover to us! I have spent hours on the phone the last two days with various companies and either they have so many added fees it is horrible or they have such low ratings on consumer websites I can’t go with the company.
Please do not recommend MayFlower I prefer the entire contents of my house to not arrive moldy and wet.
PODS might be nice if you are just finishing college and need to move a few things to your new apartment a few blocks away but by the time you add in helpers to move the heavy things they cost just as much as full service movers. Plus each time I called they quoted me a different price and they only guarantee things to arrive in one piece if you use their packers and unpackers at several hundred dollars an hour. No thanks. I really wanted to go with them too because I will need to keep my stuff in storage for about a month while I find the perfect a dog friendly place to live.
And as funny as the above picture might be with the dogs in their crate in the back of my Mini Cooper there really isn’t much room for more then a suitcase and a few extras that I will need for the first few weeks. It is a 10 1/2 hour drive from my house to where I will be living for the first month I am in Georgia so strapping stuff to the roof is not an option.
Who do you recommend? Who would you stay away from if they were the last movers on earth?
