Dog Training Helps Rebellious Teenagers / Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

The Wolf Within course helps rebellious teenagers understand and get practice in calm corrective behavior and shows them how to be a leader.

The Wolf Within is an innovative educational experience designed to nurture emotional intelligence, improve communication skills and teach self control.

The Wolf Within is directed at schools, colleges, prisons and pupil referral units. The course is aimed at learners who need a fresh innovative way to learn the importance then the skills to become a great leader.

By studying wolf pack dynamics, participants learn why wolves and dogs behave the way they do and how to correct unwanted behavior in domestic dogs. They learn how to understand dog behavior and how to respond appropriately by applying calm, consistent and convincing signals.

Having understood how and why wolves and dogs behave the way they do, participants can then examine their own behavior, actions and interactions with others. With this insight they can make positive changes in their lives using tools such as patience, positive reinforcement and respect. They discover a holistic approach they can apply in all areas of their lives.

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog, nice to meet you too. Joined Pet Bloggers Hop – not sure is I have done it right? Best wishes Sara

  2. I am a huge fan of these programs! They truly benefit all, including society at large, who need not worry about re-offending humans. Truly win-win!

  3. Hi Y’all,

I think the training programs in prisons and with disturbed children is the best therapy that a person can have.

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  4. Thanks for posting about this program. I dream of implementing something similar eventually… I keep thinking I may as well put my Education degree to use…

  5. What a cool story! A rescue group in the Phoenix area, Racing Home Greyhound Adoption, takes in retired racing greyhounds and takes them to prison for 8 weeks where inmates train them so they become highly adoptable. Lot of the same benefits as this story and really gives the inmates something positive to build on.

    Thanks for sharing!
