A man got the shock of his life when he saw a German Koolie dog driving a double decker bus through the streets of the northern Australian city of Darwin. the dog was sitting in the driver’s sit with paws on the steering wheel. The astonished man said he chased after the bus as it ran slowly down the road and climbed in through the window. He managed to engage the handbrake and stop the bus before it was about to crash into a row of parked cars.
The owner of the bus which he uses as his mobile home said, he had parked the vehicle, on a steep road and gone into a yard to inquire about a repair. He believes his dog must have disengaged the handbrake after watching him do it so many times and was mimicking driving the bus only he wound up really driving it. Woodly the dog is the man’s constant companion regularly seated in the navigators seat and when given the chance will jump over to the driver seat but has never before actually driven the double decker bus.
This seems like the kind of thing that would only happen in Australia.
