Dog Dragged Behind Car Going 72 Miles an Hour

Witnesses first reported seeing a black Porsche Carrera with a dog tied to the back in East Sussex in South East England, at 10pm on Sunday night.  The car was then spotted at 10.30pm, dragging the dog through a tunnel at speeds reaching 72 miles an hour, before pulling onto the side of the road. When police arrived on the side of the road, they found the dog already dead of its traumatic injuries. But took the dog to a vet to be examined as part of their investigation.

Detectives believe the incident was deliberate and suspect it may have been triggered by a fight between the dog’s owners. The suspect, turned himself into the Police on Monday night, where he was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty. He remains in custody today.

According the the Shoreham Herald  Police are still looking for anyone who was a witness to this horrible act of cruelty. Anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1416 of 20/11

What a sick person to do something like that. That makes me angry. It’s really too bad his punishment does not match the dog’s. Ugh.

I hope that justice is served in this case. What a horrible thing to drag a dog behind a car. I’m speechless.
