A woman was charged with six misdemeanors for leaving a dog and its five puppies locked in her car while she shopped at a Walmart on Sunday morning. The police were called to the Walmart store about a dog and puppies locked in a car in the parking lot. When the deputy arrived she saw the dog and two of her puppies when she peered in the window. One of the puppies was sitting in the sun and appeared to be lethargic.
The deputy asked a Walmart employee to page the owner of the white Geo with dogs locked inside of it. No one responded to the page. When the woman returned to her vehicle the deputy asked to see the puppies but the woman gave her the middle finger first. She finally handed over the puppy when asked a second time. The deputy said the puppy was hot to the touch and lethargic.
The woman took the puppy away from the deputy and locked all of the puppies and their mother back in her vehicle and started yelling at the deputy. She then lunged to attack the deputy. The deputy tried to stop her but was on the ground when backup arrived. After several more minutes of non compliance the woman was taesed and arrested.
She was charged with felony battery of a law enforcement officer and six counts of unlawful confinement/ abandonment of an animal. Her bond was set at $13,500.

This woman, has no respect for the deputy. First place these kind of people Should never have animals, only because they don’t have enough upstairs. So glad she was charged.
This is just terrible.. I hope that the puppies can make it through!
