While streets and parks are free of Dog poo private yards are still a problem for dog owners. What to do with all the waste? One option for dog owners is to build a dog waste digester in their backyards. This is simply a hole, lined with an old garbage bin or bucket, with a removable lid, that the dog waste is deposited into. Bacteria starter is added to speed the digesting process.
If you live in Perth Canada you can learn how to make one in your yard this weekend. REAL is presenting a free Prevent Poo-lution, How to Make a Dog Waste Digester workshop on Saturday, Aug., 13 at its site at the REAL Deal Reuse Store.

I was really interested in this, since I bury the waste in the back yard, but am wondering what to do when I run out of room? I went to Google how to make this and came up with this water management site. They say not to do anything except throw it in the trash, or sometimes flush it. I hate throwing things away, but who knows.
