Kids and Dogs

Kids and Dogs is a special column on our blog dedicated to young aspiring authors and dog lovers. It is a place where they can submit an article about their pets. The articles are written by the children because they want to share their love of their dogs with all of my readers. I hope you will all read about their special bonds with their pets and leave comments because I know it will mean so much to each of the special authors we have lined up for you. If you are under the age of 16 or have a child under the age of 16 that would like to submit a story about their dogs and other pets. I am so exited to share this first Guest author with all of you because I have gotten to know his family online for a number of years now and was there to see the very first pictures of all of their dogs when they were born. Some I even “knew” before they were born. I know that Elias and his brother and sister all love their dogs so much and get all the best of everything with the entire family making sure they are cared for and healthy.

Dogs are amazing animals. They all have different personalities. My dogs are Julius, Rocky and Zora they are the best dogs. I am going to tell you about my dogs and their spectacular personalities.

First of all I’ll start with Julius.He is a very calm lovable dog ,he will never be crazy or wild. He loves belly rubs and his bed .His absolute favorite person is my mom, he follows her everywhere and wants to be with her all of the time.Julius is also my mom’s heart dog, they have a very strong bond. Julius loves chew toys (especially bully sticks) and loves to play around with Rocky. When we brought baby Zora home over 1 year ago, he hated her and would growl at her whenever she came near him but after about 2 weeks they were fast friends. Julius is 3 years 9 months old and he is a lovable playful dog with a big heart and loves everyone he meets. His personality is fun, calm and playful.

Our middle dog is Rocky. He is a crazy, wild dog. He loves his people in his family but does not like to meet new people. Whenever guest come over Rocky will hide behind my while she is sitting in her chair then after awhile he will relax and let the guest pet him .He absolutely loves chew toys the most out of all our dogs and he loves to play with Zora chasing her all day long and playing doggy games with her. When we got baby Zora Rocky loved her right away, he often protected her from Julius in the beginning and he played with her very gently as she was very tiny then. Rocky is a very good big brother to Baby Zora, they bonded from the first moment she came home. Rocky’s favorite things to play with in the house are dirty clothes and toilet paper. He is so funny ! He runs all over the house when he gets toilet paper and trots around like a pony all happy with himself.Rocky likes to jump and run alot and his favorite sleeping spot is on top of the back of the couch or chair. In that way he reminds me of a cat always liking to perch high up on furniture. Rocky is 2 years and 4 months old.

Last but not least is our Baby Zora. She is not actually a baby anymore as she is 1 year 4 months old ,but she is our youngest dog and so we refer to her as Baby Zora ,plus she is very tiny ,she only weighs 7 pounds. Zora ia a very playful ,sometimes wild and a very confident dog. She loves everyone she meets much like Julius. She is a big fan of chew toys. Zora loves to relax and play rough with Rocky, they are definitely best buddies. At night, Zora comes in my bed sometimes and sleeps with me. She is crazy but loves a good time especially with her family. Zora suffers from environmental contact allergies (especially grass) and so she takes daily medication so that her feet do not get red and itchy. My mom has to wash her feet after every potty break outside and walk to make sure that none of the allergens are on her feet.

Rocky , Julius and Zora have similar personalities to my sister Madison ,my brother Jacob and me. Julius is calm and fun like myself and really enjoys quiet time. Rocky is wild and crazy like my brother Jacob who just wants to play all day and act crazy. Zora is like my sister Madison , she is fun and sweet , very playful and loves to play with everyone. They are just all round happy girls I guess.

Now you know all about my wonderful dogs and their personalities. They have a great family and we love them and love to take care of them. I hope you enjoyed reading about my spectacular dogs !!! Lucky for us, we get to enjoy them everyday!!
