This wouldn’t really be news if this Prairie Dog was found on a golf course in Colorado or somewhere near Yellowstone National Park. This one is news and a conversation piece at a Sarasota Florida golf course because Prairie Dogs are not native animals here and so it is a little unusual. The little animal has made his home between golf holes and is not disturbing visitors if anything it is attracting more to come and see how cute the Prairie Dog is.
The thinking is that he was someone’s pet and they didn’t want him anymore so they let him loose either on the golf course or in the immediate area and the little one found its way onto the green. How long it stays is up for debate as golf course officials aren’t sure it is the best place for it to be but since it hasn’t upset the golfers for now the little one is calling the Bobby Jones Golf Course in Sarasota, Florida home.
