Dogs Taken From Shelter Sold on Black Market

Over the course of a year 64 dogs, cats, and other small animals have mysteriously vanished overnight from government run shelters. Not one at a time like there was a paperwork glitch and not random animals either. Its the young ones who go missing, the purebred dogs, the ones with the extra aww factor. The animals are not escaping through broken fencing or unsecured cages at night. Someone in the shelter network City of L.A. is targeting these animals and authorities believe they are profiting from the sale of them or even gifting them to important officials.

Changes have been made at some of the shelters in terms of personnel, security, and control since police began investigating the disappearances last April when an adit by the new Shelter Manager found discrepancies in paperwork hat just did not add up. However it seems the animals are still disappearing.  Authorities hope that if it is the case that these animals are being sold for top dollar that whoever is purchasing them is at least spoiling them and treating them like royalty.
