As promised we are going to be using the excuse of the Chinese New Year to share our year in Hong Kong with you. Since today is the first day of the New Year I think we need to start off with the fireworks display from last night. Fireworks are a major part of Hong Kong culture and are used to celebrate many most holidays if they could figure out how to use fireworks for Halloween I know they would.
Thank goodness Davinia and Indiana could care less about them because we saw and heard fireworks every night from Hong Kong Disney from our apartment. Sometimes if the weather made it so that the booms from the fireworks were particularly loud the girls would run out onto the balcony to check things out and then run back inside generally they slept right through them.
This video was taken from Kowloon overlooking the Victoria Harbor to Hong Kong Island.
