Review: Tropical Traditions Citrus Mint Skin Exfoliator

I don’t just host reviews and giveaways I participate in other blog owners Reviews and Giveaways to show some love and to try and win some fun things for myself. Lately I have seen so many giveaways sponsored by Tropical Traditions that I decided to enter and actually won. Yay Me!

The item arrived super fast which I think is so important. If you are a company that is sponsoring giveaways out in the blog world that you need to expect that not only will your company get reviewed by the host blog but on the winner’s blog as well. Therefore if your item arrives to the winner in a timely manner you are more likely to get a great review then if the person practically forget they won by the time the item arrives in their mailbox. With Tropical Traditions within a week of my winning the Organic Citrus Mint Exfoliator was in my mailbox for me to use.

All of the Skin Exfoliators that Tropical Traditions offers are made with organic Virgin Coconut Oil and Virgin Palm Oil. No other products on the market are made with finer oils as their base. Tropical Traditionsindependent laboratory tests show that it has a higher level of antioxidants than other coconut oils.
Virgin Palm Oil contains high concentrations of a powerful form of Vitamin E called “tocotrienols” which published research has shown is 40–60 times more potent than alpha-tocopherol (the most common form of Vitamin E found as an additive in most skin care products.) In addition to these powerful Vitamin E tocotrienols, Virgin Palm Oil is also rich in natural carotenes. It is one of the richest natural plant sources of carotenes with concentrations of 500–700 ppm. It is 15 times more retinol-equivalent than carrots and 300 times more than tomatoes, for example.

I started using the exfoliator right away. My skin tends to get really dry during the winter (even if I do live in Miami) and so the first place I used it was on my hands. The Citrus Mint smells amazing and really made my hands super soft. About a half hour later I decided that my hands felt so nice that I should do my feet and get them in sandal ready shape. Considering I haven’t had a pedicure in almost two years that might take some time. I think using the exfoliator once a week will really help get my feet looking great even after the first use they were noticeably softer and cleaner looking. I was a bit nervous that the oils would make me slip and slide all over the floor but they soaked into my feet pretty quickly and I was left with soft feet not at all greasy or oily feeling

I have to say using it on myself does not even compare with the results I got from using it on my Chinese Crested Foster dog who had come to me just days before with skin so rough and bad that I thought it would take weeks of “spa treatments”, good nutrition, and sunshine to get her soft and her skin cleared up.

I put her in the bathtub took the jar of the Citrus Mint Exfoliator and started to scrub. The salt helped get rid of the top layer of dead skin and the oils in the Exfoliator really started to work their magic. The blackheads in her skin were practically popping out. The little girls went from leather tough skin to soft cleaner skin overnight. I plan on using the exfoliator on her again this week to really get her cleaned up for her forever home which will hopefully find her very soon. I 100% recommend this exfoliator for use in Hairless Dogs with darker pigmentation horrible skin (the pink spotted ones tend to have more delicate skin). This is a great item to have when pulling dogs from shelters or puppy mills to help clean them up and get them on the road to recovery. Feeling clean can change their whole attitude.
