The Buddy Foundation is calling all children who love dogs and other animals to help them name their new dog statue standing guard in front of its no-kill animal shelter in Arlington Heights. All your child needs to do is mail or email their idea for a name for the statue and picked it. It doesn’t have to be a long explanation a few words will do unless there is a story behind the name and why it is so special then they can feel free to write as much as they need to about why the name is so special and will be a perfect fit.

The most creative and thoughtful name wins a $50 gift certificate to use in their Pet Gift Shop and gets their winning entry engraved in a brick in front of the statue. Email your child’s idea, along with your name, address, email and phone number, to: [email protected] or mail to The Buddy Foundation, Name That Dog Contest, 65 W, Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60006. Entries must be received by Monday, Sept. 26. The winner will be chosen by the founder of the Buddy Foundation on September 30th.
