DIY All Natural Flea Comb

Fleas and ticks are serious business once the weather turns warmer. No matter what sort of flea and tick protection you use you will at one point or another find a fleas or two on your dog. While the protection should make it so that they want to jump right back off again why take the chance. Get rid of them as soon as you find them.

Should you find fleas on your dog, you will want to treat them as soon as possible. Luckily, you don’t have to resort to chemicals to do this. You can defend your dog against fleas the natural way thanks to the power of lemons. When you use this all natural flea comb on your dog, you can banish those nasty fleas.

Here is what you will need to make your own all natural flea comb:

1 large lemon
4 cups of water
Pet comb

Directions:
1. Begin by boiling a pot of water.
2. Cut up your lemon into slices and add them to the water.
3. Remove the pot from the heat and allow the mixture to set overnight. This will really bring out the power of the lemons.
4. The next day, dip the comb into the mixture and run it through your dog’s fur. Repeat this process, dipping and combing, until the whole body has been done. You do not need to rinse, as the lemon water can stay in the fur. Though you will probably want to rinse the lemon off before your dog spends prolonged time in the sun so that their coat doesn’t bleach out or become red. Just like lemon in your hair will make it change color it will do the same for your dog.

You can repeat this process anytime you find fleas on your dog even one fleas is reason to be proactive.
