Bo Obama on A Diet

Bo Obama the first dog is on a diet to loose weight as apparently he has been attending too many state dinners and getting treats from everyone from visiting dignitaries to school groups. The extra food has caught up with him and he put on a few extra pounds. First lady Michelle has decided that it is time for him to be eating a more healthy diet to show children it is not just them who have to watch what they eat and exercise their dogs do too.
President Obama made the announcement at the first ever White House “kids state dinner” where Junior chefs submitted healthy and fun recipes dishes that were packed with nutritious, delicious ingredients — that are good for you but more importantly they taste good, too. The President jokingly told the children not to drop any of their tasty and healthy recipes on the floor because Bo Obama likes to eat the crumbs and he would love to have a bite of each of the recipes.
With Pet Obesity on the rise which leads to all sorts of health issues for the animal the fact that Bo Obama is on a diet might help others around the country decide it is time to help their best friend get healthy too.

Dear Bo,
I’ve been there! I used to be a fat little dog who got too many treats. I was so fat that I got very, very sick. After she adopted me, my mom helped me transition from fat to fit thanks to a strict doggy diet and lots of exercise. Tell Michelle that she should take you on weekend hikes in the mountains!
