Couple Rescues Dehydrated Puppy

Rocket Man playing a day after being found dehydrated in a bucket

A little puppy was left in a bucket in a hot parking lot was found by a couple who brought it to The Forsyth Humane Society. The couple arrived with the puppy who was skin and bones and very dehydrated. The little puppy weighed 1 pound and 7 ounces at admittance.

The team at the Humane Society named him Rocket Man. “He just seemed really small, but strong, like a rocket man. It just seemed fitting,” said Erin Ryan, of the Forsyth Humane Society.

Today the little puppy is acting like any other puppy walking around, playing with toys, and getting lots of food and fresh water in his belly. The Forsyth Humane Society says that Rocket man is still very little and will need to be cared for by one of their foster home volunteers until he is big enough and strong enough for his vaccinations. Once that happens he will be available to a very special family.

Rocketman will be available for adoption in a few weeks
